Live Painting Beyond Weddings
Cayla live painting setup at a Milwaukee event, capturing art beyond weddings.
Types of Events I’ve Painted At
Community & Pop-Ups
I love bringing art into everyday settings, surprising people and creating moments. I’ve painted live at pop-ups, makers’ markets, hotel events, books & beer nights, flower & craft fairs, and more. The vibe is casual, social, and fun perfect for spontaneous portraits and small originals.

Fairs, Festivals & Themed Parties
Whether it’s a craft fair, pet festival, holiday cook-out, or a themed gathering like a 4th of July hot dog party! I enjoy the diversity. These events give me visual inspiration, help me meet new people, and keep my work fresh. Guests love watching the art take shape in real time.

Fundraisers & Charity Events
Art that gives back is extra special. I often donate a portion of my proceeds to good causes and have raised meaningful amounts for local nonprofits through live-painting events. When guests buy portraits, they’re helping a bigger mission and that makes the experience even more memorable.

How My Live Portrait Process Works
- I capture people, pets, or any subject live or from photos.
- Each portrait typically takes 15 minutes, so guests don't wait long.
- I sketch first, then add color and detail guests can watch it evolve.
- I bring finished originals, too, and sometimes do custom items to match event themes.
- We coordinate logistics: timing, number of portraits, etc., so I fit smoothly into your event flow.

Why It’s Loved
Watching art unfold live makes guests feel special — there’s joy in seeing their portrait come to life. Each piece becomes a unique keepsake tied to that moment. At fundraisers, portraits do more than look good they support causes, giving the artwork real meaning. And overall, live painting adds a “wow” factor: people remember being painted and how it made them feel.
